My gallery and workshop is based inside one of Rawene’s historic buildings on the Rawene waterfront, built in 1902 it was originally the Customs House.
It looks out over the harbour and is opposite the Boatshed Cafe, one of the best cafes in the country. The views are often the inspiration for my work.
These are the raw materials collected from the harbour that are the basis for lot of my art work.
Please have a look through the galleries to see my work and other visual Glimpses.
Making my jewellery was a natural flow on from making pictures. It seemed a pity to use lovely pottery fragments in a picture when they were nice enough to stand on their own. These are all hand made and give us a glimpse of what graced the tables of early settlers from the area. I also make things for people from their own broken treasures.
